Welcome to Sir Bobby Robson School, part of the Unity Schools Partnership, a wonderful new school environment which caters for pupils aged between 8 and 16  with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Autism. I am extremely proud to be the founding Headteacher of this school and pupils at Sir Bobby Robson School are at the heart of everything that we do. We work closely with families, carers and all support networks to ensure we deliver the best support and outcomes for every pupil who enters our school. It is this partnership between home, school and pupils that is at the heart of the pupils’ and schools’ success.  We have high expectations for both behaviour and achievement and see that every learner has a unique personality and their own talents, all of which we strive to support and develop.

Our brand new school building was opened in December 2020, in the midst of the Covid 19 global pandemic. The challenges and obstacles faced by our school community simply brought us together, and we are so proud of our achievements during this uniquely difficult time. We have grown to our capacity of 60 pupils and we are now looking forward to the future as we continue to grow and develop as a school.

Whilst at the school pupils are offered a curriculum which is not only broad and balanced, but also exciting and challenging and designed with our pupils interests and needs in mind. With a highly skilled and supportive staff team, made up of teachers, teaching assistants and a dedicated pastoral team,  we seek to provide learning opportunities and experiences which prepare our pupils for life in school and beyond. Our school encourages pupils to begin to take responsibility for their own learning while recognising and respecting the needs of others. We have developed good links with local providers who support us to be able to offer not only a core academic offer, but also a range of vocational and other opportunities.
